Daryle comes from one of the most well-known and well-respected sports families in the state of Ohio, being one of eight siblings who received athletic scholarships and graduated from highly respected colleges or universities.
Daryle graduated in 1975 from Kent State University, earning a Business Administration degree in Industrial and Labor Relations in less than four years. He went on to serve for over 32 years in various leadership positions at AT&T, finally retiring in April 2007. Daryle and his wife have been married since 1976 and they have three adult children, two daughters, a son and four grandchildren. Their place of worship is the Vineyard Church of Columbus where they are members. His most treasured community project is Brightway Center in which he has been involved as a board member since incorporation. His long time association with the founder Kara Bright dates back to 1973 and their involvement with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).
